All types of advertising strategies pursue the final core to make potential customers to perform a specific action. More often than not this action is one of the followings: buy a product or subscribe to a list (where they will be tempted to buy the product).
How this call to action is presented affects the end result.

Many different types of advertising strategies are use to sweeten the call to action, and make the offer more appealing to the customer. Nowadays, time is one of the most appreciated values to people. Customers may feel, as most people do, that they are continuously suffering a lack of time in their lives.

Using a deadline in your offer is one of the most used of the types of advertising strategies. This works with two different feelings of customers.

First, this give them a good feeling because they realize that they have came across your offer before the end time and this immediately installs the idea that they have won a very appreciated value (they have time to act).

Second, a bad feeling is installed in their minds, the feeling of loosing the opportunity if they let the time go by. This can force them to make a decision and act right away.

"Time sensitive" types of advertising strategies

Tell your potential customers they will get a free bonus for acting before a specific date or hour of the day. The bonus mustn't be available after that date or you will lose credibility. You could have a timer on your website, running down the time.

Another way to make a time sensitive offer can be offering a coupon or discount with a dead time end or limited to a certain number of people.

Tell your potential customers that they will be the first to be notified about the new products and services released. People like to get the first shot at products launches.

"Time as value" types of advertising strategies

Tell your customers how many years your product has been in the market, or how long your company has been operating successfully. This adds great value to your offer.

You can also state how long has taken to develop your product. Long testing and researching processes are more appreciated than an overnight development. From the different types of advertising strategies, the ones related to time are the more successful, but at the same time, the more stressful to customers.
